Excellent service. Having been told by another engineer that our SMEG range was beyond repair, we contacted Appliance 87 Limited and I cannot praise their service too highly. Parts ordered immediately and the repairs carried out quickly and efficiently by two engineers who attended at the given time and clearly knew their job.
My washing machine failed on the weekend so I first emailed the site to request assistance for the following Monday .The email address bounced as unrecognised so I then went back to the site and filled in the Contact form with the problem and my contact detailsI waited until the afternoon of the next day and, when I had not been contacted, I rang.First I was told that the email address on their site was incorrect. I then told them that I had filled in a contact form and they told me they had no record of me completing theform. I suggested that they fix the web pageI explained that I left at 0700 in the morning for work and was out until about 1700.I was told that they are available between 0800 and 1730 and that I would receive a text at 0800 telling me what time they would be attending. I reiterated that I was out of the house from 0700-1700 and asked if that could be taken into account.Same reply, and when I asked if they could try to fit me in at the end of the day, again I was told that they could not guarantee a visit time and I would have to await a text at 0800.At that point I decided to seek a service centre that was more customer focused for working families
Excellent brushes were worn down. Fixed in an hour. Repair man was extremely well mannered and a lovely guy. Would give him 10/10 if i could
I was sent a text at 8am, as agreed, on the appointment date (which was today) giving me a 3 hour time slot. The engineer arrived 10 minutes early and diagnosed the fault with my Smeg ceramic hob within 30 minutes. He showed me where the problem lay and explained what had happened. He said he would order replacement parts on the same day and hoped to be able to return and fit replacement parts in 7-10 days. I was relieved after reading a few poor reviews about Service 87 elsewhere online but there was nothing I could criticise about the service I received today.
When we were assigned this company for a call out on our washing machine, I read the online reviews and my heart sank; however as it was a manufacturer arranged warranty call out I had no choice.We were give a one day slot, which was a bit frustrating, but on the day that was revised to a 3 hour window - much better. The engineer turned up promptly, in the first half of the slot. He worked for a fair while, fixed everything, explained what he'd done and why it was need and did not even hint at quibbling about the problems being covered by the warranty (despite one of the issues being caused by pistachio shells :-(). I know it's tempting to write reviews when something has gone wrong - this time I want to issue a partial redress.
