i visited Alton as I had a temp job nearby. It was early morning and some individuals were handing out mince pie as Christmas was nearing. The station is well staffed for the needs of passengers.
Great station with a cafe outside and easy transport links to London.

Quaint little station, great cafe on platform 1. A great place to take kids to watch the old trains on the watercress line.
Nice quiet small station with parking opposite. Staff friendly & helpful. May be slightly slower into London than the alternative for me, but is the better option as quieter plus as it's end of line you always have a seat on the way up.
